Internal Mobility Programs Awarded Global Recognition

Companies recognized as winners of the 2021 Internal Recruiting Awards powered by SmartRecruiters

San Francisco – September 7, 2021 – SmartRecruiters today announced the winners of the inaugural Internal Recruiting Awards (or “The IRAs”), an industry initiative designed to recognize and celebrate employers and organizations committed to excellence in internal mobility.

Nominations were submitted from organizations and individuals around the world for consideration. Winners were chosen by a  panel of influential TA leaders including Gerry Crispin, Founder of CareerXRoads; George LaRocque, Founder of WorkTech; Maisha Cannon, Head of Global Sourcing at Procore; Tim Sackett, President of HRU Talent; Jim D’Amico, Global Talent Acquisition Leader at Celanese and Board Member of the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals (ATAP); and Stacy Zapar, Sourcing Guru and Owner of the Talent Agency.

The winners reflect a group of diverse organizations working to transform internal recruitment programs and initiatives. They are:

  • AdventHealth
Results: AdventHealth is an example of how a large company can introduce a simple yet effective internal mobility program. Their internal mobility program is highly regarded within the recruitment industry and has helped the team win multiple awards including the Lean Human Capital Elite Award and a CANDE Award in 2020. Positive feedback from employees also demonstrates the value and impact of the internal mobility program.

  • Amentum
Results: To empower employees to advance their careers at Amentum, the talent acquisition and talent management team came together to create Talent Hub. The newly released platform is a space where employees can store their aspirations, skills, and experience and receive job matches. It’s still early days for Talent Hub, but the results that Amentum is seeing so far already deem their internal mobility strategy not only successful but also remarkable. Since going live with Talent Hub, current employees have become the top source of hires.

  • Uncommon Schools
Results: Supporting employees with aspirations for leadership positions with dedicated support and fellowship programs proves to be a catalyst for internal mobility success at Uncommon Schools. This year, internal promotions account for 70% of operations leadership and 95% of instructional leadership hires.

“The goal of the IRA’s is to showcase and honor employers and talent leaders who not only consistently achieve best practices, but are at the leading edge of mobility today,” said Jerome Ternynck, Founder and CEO at SmartRecruiters. “We are excited to honor these companies who have excelled at recruiting and developing employees and leading efforts to make internal talent development a true competitive advantage.”
